| Dy CM pays obeisance at Shiv Khouri | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JAN 02 – Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand said that all out efforts are being made for beautification and promotion of the famous Shiv Khori Cave Shrine. The shrine is second most important pilgrim tourist destination of the region after Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, he added.
He said this after paying obeisance at the famous Shrine on the occasion of New Year.
Mr. Tara Chand was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Reasi and Vice-Chairman, Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board Mr. P.K.Pole.
The Deputy Chief Minister inspected various development works which have been undertaken and instructed the authorities to speed up the pace of works so that these are completed within the stipulated time.
Later, a deputation of local people met Mr. Tara Chand and presented demands of the area, including establishing Municipal Committee at Ransoo.
While assuring them of redressing their genuine demands, he said government is committed to develop famous pilgrim tourist destinations so as to fully tap the tourism potential of these places.
