| Sangarsh to join hands with JPPF, opposes appointment of Prof Mattoo | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Jan 02: Sangarsh- A movement for Justice, Equality, Peace, Prosperity and
Brotherhood decided to join hands with Jammu Province People's Forum
(JPPF) in an agitation against the appointment of Prof. Amitabh Mattoo
as Central University Vice Chancellor.
Issuing a press statement on behalf of the movement Suresh Kumar, general secretary-cum- spokesperson informed that after a long discussion with the convener of JPPF Paviter Singh and other office bearers have decided to fight one more historic agitation against this appointment which is a clear cut indication that Central Government is not concerned with the sentiments of nationalists people of Jammu province.
Suresh opined that Sangarsh is the only organization who fought a historic eight months long agitation against Prof. Mattoo when he was the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University and exposed him for disordering the academic standard of the university besides mismanaging the university funds, appointing the sychophants in the university.
Showing the commitment of the movement against the appointment of Prof. Mattoo, Suresh said that the movement shall fight upto the last breath against the person who was one of the architect of the Self Rule document of PDP.
Warning the Human resource Development Ministry and Central Government, he said that the peace loving people of this province had high hopes on the government but it seems that the time
has come for the common people of Jammu to stand unitedly against such an autocratic approach of Central Government , which besides knowing this fact that Prof. Mattoo is a tainted person, is appointing him as the Central University Vice Chancellor.
