| Sangharsh RTI Movement slams attack on Pune RTI Activist | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 3: Sangarsh RTI Movement in Jammu and Kashmir has condemned the attack on Pune based Right to Information activist Arun Mane who has been pursuing his anti- land scams effort around Pune through the RTI tool.
Sangarsh RTI Movement, the pioneer RTI organization in Jammu and Kashmir demanded fool proof security for the RTI activist Arun Mane who was attacked with a sharp weapon by an unidentified man on Sunday.
He sustained injuries on his forehead, chest and hands, but is reportedly out of danger. Convener Sangarsh RTI Movement, Balvinder Singh has said that all the RTI activists of the country are one and now no evil force can deter them from exercising their constitutional right of seeking information under RTI Act.
He said, “it is the responsibility of the state to ensure safety and security of the whistle blowers”.It is pertinent to mention here that in J & K also now the RTI activists are on hit list of the corrupt bureaucrats and scamsters.
