| Awareness camp on traffic safety organized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Jan 3: As part of road safety week, a one-day awareness camp was organised at main bus stand Kathua by the transport department under the supervision of Regional Transport Officer, Kathua to spread awareness about the traffic norms. On the occasion large number of people participated including bus operators, matador operator’s small vehicle owners, two wheeler users and other general people with a motive to get important and essential tips and technical information for safe and correct driving system. The Regional Transport Officer, Shiv Kumar Gupta and ARTO Rajeshwar Singh Chark gave tips to the people and stressed on to adopt the proper and effective measures during driving . They informed the people this is 22nd Road Safety Week programme which is commemorated every year statewide to spread awareness to carry out effective and accurate driving system to combat the increasing number of accidents. In the camp, Inspector Jaswant Singh Charak, Anoop Balia, Pawan Gupta, Bishan Verma, M.K Malgar, Mahinder Singh, Sunil Sharma, Anil Sharma were present.
