| Redouble efforts for speedy works: Chib | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, January 03: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Services and Sports, R. S. Chib has stressed upon the divisional officers to ensure all basic facilities to the people particularly during the winter months in the valley. He said officers should redouble their efforts to complete ongoing works, so that people get benefitted in time.
Chib, who is now available in winter secretariat, Srinagar for a week for redressing the people’s problems, was addressing divisional level officers here today. The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon was also present in the meeting.
The Divisional Commissioner informed the Minister regarding the arrangements made by the administration for clearing the snow and said power, roads and water supply was restored immediately including vital installations like hospitals, water pumping stations and water reservoirs.
Later, the Minister visited Lar, Ganderbal where he was chief guest on the Sheikh Abdul Jabar Cricket Tournament. In all, 50 teams with thousand players are participating in the tournament.
Later, Chib also distributed certificates of participation among the teams and players.
