| 3-day training programme for master trainers commences | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Jan 03- A three-days training programme to train the master trainers engaged for second phase of Census 2011 started at conference hall of Deputy Commissioner office here today.
The Training programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Zahida Parveen Khan. Additial Deputy Commsioner and District Census Officer, Rohit Khajurua, Tehsildar Mr. Avtar Singh Tehsildar HQ. Jatinder Mishra and Chief Planning Officer Mr Devinder Singh were also present during the training programme.
Addressing the master trainers, Khan advised them to work as per the guidelines of census department. She also said that while collecting the data endeavor shall be made to ensure accuracy so that the motive of the census could be achieved as this data will be used for planning and policies in the future.
During the Three Day Training Programme thirty seven master trainer will be provided training for conduction Population Enumeration as a part of second phase of census 2011. It is pertinent to mention here that population enumeration will be conducted w.e.f February 9 to 28 followed by revisional round from March 1 to 5.
Assistant professor, University of Jammu, Dr Jaya Bhasin (Master Trainer Facilitator) and Master Trainer Facilitator, Census Department jitender Kumar provided training to the Master Trainers regarding population enumeration.
