| NC terms state govt as anti-poor | | | JAMMU | NOV 7 National Conference had criticized the state government for its anti-poor policies. While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Akhnoor here today. Omar Abdullah, president J&K National Conference termed the rule of coalition Govt as total failure in the problems of poor masses. Expressing his concern over the rise in prices and hike in electricity charges, NC president lamented that common man is getting crushed under the weight of rising prices and is falling difficulty in making the both ends meet. Spiritual about the impact of anti corruption drive of the state government, Omar Abdullah observed that for getting a simple work done the common man has to grease the palms of those at the helm of affairs. The public meeting was also addressed by patron of the party Dr. Farooq Abdullah who while criticizing the centre for its pricing policy said that he price of petrol and diesel in the international market has gone down and the same is not being calibrated by the GOI to pass on the benefit to the masses. Ajay Sadhotra, provincial president Jammu province, Surjit Singh Slathia, former minister also addressed the public meeting and prominent among those who were present included Mushtaq Ahmed Bhukhari (MLA), T.S Wazir (MLC), Chander Mohan Sharma (District President Jammu Urban), Th. Kashmira Singh (Ex-MLC), Gurdeep Singh Sassan.
