Bhalla for including 3,000 posts in central sector | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 4: The Minister for Revenue and Relief, Raman Bhalla, has sent another communication to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) in New Delhi requesting it to concede the demand of the state Government for including the remaining 3,000 posts for Kashmiri migrants in the central sector. Bhalla has also informed the PMO that the state Government has made a beginning in the Prime Minister's employment package for the Kashmiri displaced youths by giving jobs to over 2400 unemployed youths out of 3,000.The Revenue Minister explained that the remaining posts had to be reserved for STs, SCs and OBC's but since there were no STs and SCs among the Kashmiri Pandits the Revenue Department has decided to submit the case to the cabinet for according onetime sanction for including these posts also in the open merit category. The Minister stated that under the Prime Minister's package jobs were to be given to 6,000 unemployed youths among the displaced families and out of this 3,000 jobs had to be kept under the central sector and the remaining 3,000 in the state sector.Bhalla said that since the state Government had meagre resources it could not meet the wage bill of the 3,000 youths he had requested the centre to include the remaining 3,000 jobs in the central sector sector also. In reply to a question Bhalla said he was hopeful of a positive response from the PMO because giving jobs to the unemployed youths among the displaced families was a humane problem which needed immediate response from the centre on humanitarian grounds. Asked whether those who had joined the places of posting in the Kashmir valley faced any problem Bhalla said that so far there has been no complaint from the employed youth.
