Lawrence School felicitates Choi Kwang Do champions | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 5 : The students of Lawrence Public School, Sidhra who brought accolades to the school by winning two gold medals in 8th National Choi Kwang Do championship held at Dehradun were today welcomed by the School staff as well as the students. The felicitation took place during a special session of the morning assembly in the school premises. The function was presided over by the Principal of the school Manish Joshi. Abhay Jamwal and Ankush Gupta won 2 gold medals in the recently held 8th National Choi Kwang Do championship held at Distt Sports Complex, Parade Ground, Dehradun, Uttaranchal. They won the gold medals in the U-17 category (boys) in which students from 18 different states had participated. Both Abhay and Ankush were appreciated for their defence drill and fight style by the tournament director Ravinder Singh (National Vice President) Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International, India recognised by SGFI under Ministry of Youth Services & Sports, GOI and Indian Olympic Association. In his address on the occasion Principal Manish Joshi while appreciating the performance of the students paid credit to the coach of the students Miss Ritu who is a member of the Choi Kwang Do Martial Art International. He said that the results achieved by a performer reflect the hard labour and skill put in by the Guru in moulding the disciple. He assured full support to the students and the teachers in their efforts to thrive not only in academics but in sports as well.
