Govt. to provide job opportunities to one lakh educated youth :chib

Baramulla Jan 05: Minister for Medical Education, Youth Service, Sports and Technical Education R. S. Chib has described Sher-i-Kashmir and employment welfare package (SKEWPY) as a revolutionary employment package introduced by the Omar led government. He said as many as one lakh educated youths would be provided employment opportunities in the next three years.
The Minister was addressing public darbaar held at Baramulla today. MLA Sopore Haji Mohd Ashraf , Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bashir Ahmad Bhat, President Congress A. M. Padder and Vice President Gh Nabi Monga were also present on the occasion.
The minister said, work under MGNREGA should be ensured and all costs adding that any deficiency found in the scheme would be taken up with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Regarding adequate supply of ration, timber, health facilities, Chib said he would take up these issues with the concerned ministers. He assured the people that government is committed to mitigate the problems confronting the people in the state.
Earlier, the minister reviewed the status of the on-going projects and various arrangements made by the district administrations in Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora at a joint meeting held in Baramulla today.
The minister was apprised of the arrangements in the pipeline for meeting any eventuality like snowfall. He said adequate ration. Kerosene oil and LPG is available, while stock position in remote areas which remain cut off during winter is satisfactory.
Addressing the officers on the occasion, R. S. Chib instructed the officers to gear up all its units on grass root levels also and ensure their rapport with the people so that people do not face any inconvenience.
He asked them to complete the works taken in hand by judicious use of funds allotted for the purpose.
Later, the minister also visited Palhalan and Pattan were people met him and put forth their demands.
