State of art “Teacher Bhawan” to come-up in Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 5: Minister for Revenue Raman Bhalla on Wednesday said that a ‘Teacher Bhawan’ with state of art facilities, including auditorium would be constructed at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Gandhinagar shortly, In an official handout issued here today, Bhalla said that government has approved Rs. 6 crore project on the persistent persuasion of Minister for School Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed. Minister said this at a function held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Gandhi Nagar, here today. Bhalla said on its completion that schools of Gandhi Nagar and its adjoining areas would be able to organize their functions at this new complex. He said the facility would save both money and time of the school managements desiring to hold programmes. Bhalla asked the management of tuition centers to get their institutions registered with the Government as per the policy otherwise be ready to face action. Later, the Minister also distributed school uniform sweaters among the students belonging to the weaker section of the society. Bhalla also laid foundation of one-kilometer long deep drain from Digiana to Kunjwani to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore. He instructed engineers and executing agency to ensure its completion by March this year. Earlier, the Minister also visited Bhour Camp and took stock of the ongoing work of 18 meter span steel girder bridge being construction over Landoi Choi Nallah at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.92 crore.
