Darhal to get 25 more transformers: Shabir | | | Early Times Report DARHAL, Jan 5: Minister of State for Power Shabir Khan today said that upgradation of power infrastructure in remote and hilly areas is on priority of the government, adding that various centre and state schemes have been launched to electrify left over hamlets and villages besides improving transmission and distribution network . Minister was interacting with a deputation of Darhal Rajouri, who met him here today to put forth their demands. Minister said that for improving power supply 25 more transformers under RGGVY would be installed in Darhal area. He said that left over villages are also being provided electricity facility under the programme. Deputationists led by senior National Conference leader, Choudhary Liyaqat Hussain demanded upgradation of 3.15 MVA receiving station Darhal, besides replacement of worn out pools and electric wire in the area. Minister gave patient hearing to the Deputationists and assured them that the instructions would be issued to the concerned authorities to redress this genuine public demand on priority
