Physiotherapists protest for 44th day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 5: Protest of unemployed physiotherapists demanding jobs in the health department entered 44th day here today. Unemployed physiotherapists, under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Physiotherapists Association, raised slogans outside Divisional Commissioner's office in support of their demands. They pleaded the government to redress their genuine demands which included creation of Jammu and Kashmir State Physiotherapy Council, Absorption of all unemployed Physiotherapy Doctors, Re-Opening of Government Physiotherapy College and opening of Independent Physiotherapy Departments to PHC level. Leaders asserted that their talent is getting lost on roads. They said that several disasters could be averted if just Physiotherapy Profession is given its due recognition in the health sector. They urged the state government to look into the matter soon otherwise the society will not ever forgive the government.
