Two gold thieves held from W Bengal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 05: Two youth have been arrested by police from West Bengal along with gold worth Rs 5.50 lakh which they had stolen from Shankar Shah jewellers' shop at Jain Bazar in September last year. They were identified as Praveen Kalan and Dukhi Ram alias Kishore. However, the main accused Arun Kumar and his two more accomplices were still at large. Arun, who worked in Shankar Shop's jewellery shop at Jain Bazar, and other workers were alleged to have stolen gold worth Rs 20 lakh from the shop on September 27 last year. As all the accused hailed from West Bengal, a Pucca Danga police team raided their residences there this week. While Praveen and Kishore were arrested, the cops could not find any clue to the whereabouts of Arun and others, police sources said.Gold worth Rs 5.50 lakh was recovered from the houses of Praveen and Kishore, who had been brought to Jammu, the sources added.
