| MLA inaugurates transformers, demands tourism promotion | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 6: With the inauguration of 25 KVA transformers by MLA,Ramban,Ashok Kumar each at Kaura and Nashinga hamlets of Gandhri Panchayat today the villagers of these hamlets were overjoyed to see their houses electrified for first time in their lives.
The MLA also sanctioned 69 electric poles and the wires accordingly for the electrification of Nashinga hamlet from his CDF. The transformers were funded under the CDF and Matching Share Fund.
AEE ,PDD,Ramban Verinder Mohan Tuttu and many Congress workers had also accompanied him.
While reviewing the development works in the area he urged upon the Chief Minister to develop Gandhri,Duthan,Kabbi,Bhatni and Surnikund as tourist resorts to tap the enchanting beauty of the area.
For this, he said it is imperative to develop the infrastructure in the area and asked the concerned officers and engineers to start the construction of NABARD funded Kanga-Kabbi road and Kabbi-Bhatni road under PMGSY at an earliest and demanded the extension of Kabbi-Bhatni road upto Duthan.
The villagers of Dhuthan and Bhatni were delighted when Ashok informed them that the work of electrification in these villages under RGGY has been started.
He also informed that Nathial,Brodgali,Balihot,Balout,Ganot,Dar Duksan and Hala Dar Dukasan villages in Ramban constituency shall also be electrified under RGGY very soon.
