Govt fails to provide basic amenities to people: KMP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 6: All Jammu and Kashmir Kissan Mazdoor Party (KMP) has expressed concern over the non-serious attitude of the government towards the problems of unemployment, unbearable price hike and short supply of the essential commodities in rural areas. Addressing a press conference, president (KMP) Sardar Kalu Khan said that government have miserably failed to keep its commitments of providing employment to the uneducated unemployed youth of the state leaving them frustrated lot. He said that it was unfortunate on the part of the government to deny the employees, especially the pensioners the arrears of the sixth pay commission, the pensioners in the their old age need the money for the upkeep of their health especially at a time when the costs of medicines and medical facilities have risen enormously. He further said that it was unfortunate that people protesting against price rice and demanding basic amenities in a peaceful manner were cane-charged on them. Meanwhile, there were plenty of new faces joined the Kissan Mazdoor Party in Chand Lal Thakur joined as general secretary of district Doda.
