JMC continues anti encroachment drive | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 6: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today in continuation of the anti-encroachment drive seized goods and other material kept illegally outside the shops. According to a handout issued here today, it has been stated that under instructions from Commissioner Municipal Corporation Jammu S.C. Sawhney, enforcement staff led by Chief Enforcement Officer (CEO) Satish Khajuria alongwith police force led by Station House Officer (SHO) Police Station Pir Mitha Sajjad Khan conducted the anti-encroachment drive in the areas of Rajinder Bazar, Lakhdatta Bazar, Shahdhi Chowk, Residency Road to clear footpaths, pavements, part of road sides and seized four mini trucks loads of goods and articles like Hardware items, Stationery Goods, Crockery Items and other things. Besides this, Municipal Veterinary Officer alongwith field staff also conducted drive against the adulteration of milk and visited the areas of Vikram Chowk, Shatri Nagar, sanjay Nagar, Satwari, Nai Basti, Gujjar Nagar etc. During the drive, 98 milk cans were checked out of which 02 milk cans which were of substandard quality were destroyed and a fine of Rs. 2800 were realized from the erring milk vendors on spot.
