MV International School holds 22nd road safety week | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 6: MV International School today held traffic awareness programme for promotion of road safety measures in the school premises. The seminar was engulfed with the radiant ideas of the young speakers of the school who actively participated in the symposium which was being conducted through Government of J & K motor vehicles department, ARTO, Samba. School management and student council cordially welcomed the additional DC Samba (DTI) Sanjeev Singh and Traffic Inspector Samba Sunil Cannie. Students of the School laid stress and focused on the traffic rules, rough driving, lack of enforcement, inadequate training and testing. Participants had also collected the data of rising number of road accidents due to lack of irresponsible drivers. Chief guest in his inspiring speech congratulated school management for holding lucrative opportunity for young minds to ensure that young responsible children can translate into good citizenship through role models to educate the ignorant citizens. Earlier, Director of the school Gourav Abrol in his interactive session with guests expressed his heartiest gratitude for sparing their valuable time and showed his concern for emerging road safety as major social concern in our country. Vice-Principal of the school Rama Jamwal laid stress on the disastrous consequences by the lack of knowledge of road safety rules.
