CM acting like a separatist leader: Chaman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan 6: Asserting that Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) will go ahead with its proposed plan of hoisting tricolour at Lal Chowk on January 26, the leader of BJP Legislature party Prof Chaman Lal Gupta today said that by opposing the flag hoisting Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is speaking the language of separatists. "Instead of initiating action against Yaseen Malik and other separatists who are threatening BJP leadership over its flag hoisting programme, the CM himself is resisting the move thereby indicating that he himself is virtually acting like a separatist leader" Prof Chaman Lal said "Whatever Chief Minister said regarding BJP's flag hoisting yesterday is self-contradictory as even he admitted that the national flag is hoisted at several places on the occasion of Republic day, then why is he making hue and cry over BJP's move to unfurl tricolour at Lal Chowk. The Indian Parliament has also passed a resolution that gave liberty to every citizen of the country to hoist national flag anywhere," he added The senior BJP leader said that CM is making lame excuses that hoisting tricolour at Lal Chowk may create law and order problem which again is an attempt to divert the attention from his weaknesses as an administrator. "Being Incharge of state Home Ministry, it is the responsibility of CM to ensure incident free flag hoisting at Lal Chowk. Making law and order an issue is nothing but to hide his flaws as an able ruler. It is under Omar's leadership we saw that secretariat could not be run for six long months." Prof Chaman said. Reaffirming that tricolour will be hoisted at Lal Chowk at any cost; Prof Chaman said it is up to the state government to make adequate security and other necessary arrangements for the event. |
