Undeterred by separatists threat, BJYM all set to hoist tricolour | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 6: Taking a serious exception to JKLF supremo, Yasin Malik's threatening that the separatists will not allow hoisting of Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Capital city of Srinagar, BJYM, national vice president, Pawan Sharma said that his organisation will not be cowed down by separatist and militants threats. “We are committed to take the Ekta Sankalap yatra to Kashmir from different parts of the country to hoist the National Flag in the Lal Chowk,” he added. Maintaining that Kashmir is an integral part of India, Sharma said, no Indian needs to seek any permission from any body for hoisting the national flag in Kashmir. Those who are issuing the threats are playing in the hands of Pakistan and they will be given a befitting reply by BJYM cadres, he added. Sharma said the people of Kashmir have rejected the separatists who have been the reason for their problems and brought the state at the path of destruction. As there is lot of resentment among the masses against the separatists they are trying to exploit the masses by raking up the issue of National Flag. Tasking serious exception to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's opposition to the rally, the BJYM national leader said that Chief Minister by making such a statement was playing in the hands of separatists. Omar Abdullah with this statement has created another controversy on Kashmir's accession with India. He while blaming Congress which is the coalition partner of the NC said the Party by supporting the Chief Minister who has created a controversy over accession of the State with Indian Union has indicated that Congress too is a party to the remarks made by Chief Minister about the state's merger with Union of India. According to sources the BJYM as well as BJP has taken serious note of CM's statement and demanded action against him. “By opposing the BJYM's decision to hoist the National Flag in Kashmir the Chief Minister was giving a moral boost to separatists and furthering their as well as Pakistan's agenda. Demanding the action against the Chief Minister, BJP MLA and senior leader Ashok Khajuria said that he should be sacked for making off and on statements inimical to national unity and integrity. Meanwhile the BJP has also intensified its agitational programme against the State Government led by Omar Abdullah and the Party has warned to ghearo the Civil Secretariat in the middle of this month. The Party has decided to take yatras from three different parts of Jammu region in this regard to city of temples. The BJP has reiterated that it will not rest till the Chief Minister seeks the public apology on his controversial statement or quits the office. |
