HC stays selection of Foresters and FPF Inspectors | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Jan: 07 (JNF):- The High Court today stayed selection process of foresters and Forest Protection Force (FPF) inspectors initiated in terms of Advertisement notice dated December 24, 2010. Justice Sunil Hali after taking cognizance of 20 petitions challenging the criterion for allotment of marks for BSc Forestery which was reduced from 25 to 10. The petitioners submitted that it was a violation of Section 16 of JK (subordinate) Service recruitment Rules, 1992. The said section provides for uniformity in the criterion for selection. It was also contended that for the advertisement issued in the year 2004, 2006 & 2008, 30 and 40 points respectively were reserved for the qualification of 10+2 whereas in the present selection 55 points have been earmarked for this qualification. The stay , however, is subject to objections from the other side.
