| Foundation of ITI building at Zainakote | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, January 07: Minister for Technical Education and Youth Service and Sports, R. S. Chib laid foundation of ITI building at Zainakote here today.
He was accompanied by MLA, Batmaloo, Irfan Shah, District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Meeraj Ahmad Kakroo and other concerned officers.
Coming up at a cost of Rs 642.22 lakh, the building will comprise of workshop, administration building and a hostel building with 50 beds. The complex is spread over an area of 50 kanals.
The Minister directed the executing agency to complete the building within scheduled time by stepping up the work.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Minister exhorted the youth to fully avail the benefit of the job oriented trades introduced in the ITIs, adding, the youth after getting training could set up their own ventures.
Chib said as many as 16 thousand students are being provided training in two years at a cost of over Rs 23 crore under the scheme already announced by the Prime Minsiter.
Earlier, Chib flagged off 100 students for ITC Punchkula, Haryana from TRC, Srinagar today morning.
