Rs 78 lakh doctors' residential quarters inaugurated at Sohanjana | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JAN 7- Continuing with government endeavour to upgrade the health infrastructure across the State, the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Sham Lal Sharma today inaugurated doctors' residential quarters and a stabilization ward at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Sohanjana today. The residential quarters and a Stabilization Ward have been completed at a cost of Rs 80 lakh by the Jammu and Kashmir Police Housing Corporation. The quarters will help in ensuring the stay of the doctors at their headquarters for round the clock service. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that during the past two years, the coalition government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has given focused to the upgradation of health and education infrastructure and massive development has taken place in these two sectors. The Minister asked the Block Medical Officer, Sohanajana to ensure round the clock service to the people of this border village. He asked him to keep the hospital premises neat and clean and provide best services to the people. Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr. Ashok Sharma, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, Dr Baldev Sharma and prominent citizens of the area were also present .
