| DRC stresses on GMC, Jammu operation theatre completion | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, JAN 7- Chairman, Departmental Related Committee (DRC) on Medical Education of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Ajay Sadhotra has urged upon the officers of Medical Education and R&B Departments to ensure completion of atleast one new operation theatre at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu for which funds have already been sanctioned by March this year.
The Committee met today to discuss and review various schemes of maintenance of assets and minor works against the approved outlay of Rs. 1.30 crore during the current financial year, 2010-11 of (GMC), Jammu.
After threadbare discussion, Legislators, Vijay Bakaya, M. Y. Taing, Jehangir Hussain Mir and Syeed Ahmad Rizvi gave their valuable suggestions for the improvement of the functioning of the GMC, Jammu.
Senior officers of Medical Education Department, R&B and Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
