| Road safety week concludes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua Jan 7: The week-long road safety week organised by motor vehicle department, Kathua concluded here today at of Vivekananda College of Education Lakhanpur premises. On the occasion, the cultural activities including songs, skits and plays were performed by the students of the college to highlight the norms and precautions of traffic system.
A symposium was also organized where the twelve students drawn from different colleges and schools participated and delivered effective use of traffic norms and precautions to keep the safe live. The student of Govt. Women Degree College kathua Kanika Sharma won the first prize , a student of Little Angel Taijaba Wani and Ramnik Verma of Rainbow High school won second prize and the student of Govt. High School Kathua Reshma Bano clinched third prize . All the winners were honoured with mementoes by DC, Kathua Zahida Parveen on the behalf of Department.
Others present on the occasion included ARTO Rajeshwar Singh Charak, DC Commercial tax Onkar Nath, C.E.O Kathua K.K Gupta, S.S.P Traffic Police Varender Sharma, principal Degree College Kathua Dr. S.K Gupta, Chairman Vivekananda Institute and Dr. Anju Sharma Principal of Vivekananda College of education, Lakhanpur were present.
