EJAC appeals govt to concede clerks’ demands | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 7: All J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (AJKGEJAC) has appealed the government to remove pay anomalies of clerical cadre without any further delay. In a meeting of All J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) held today under the presidentship of Jaswant Singh Provincial President of Employees Joint Action Committee (K), the members said that the Government through Cabinet Sub-committee agreed in principle with the representatives of Joint Consultative Committee that the anomaly in the pay scales of clerical cadre is genuine and will be removed within short time. After issuing the SRO connected with removal of anomalies in the pay scales of JEs and others, the clerical cadre is being ignored with the result that the clerical cadre has no other option except to come out on roads to show the resentment for just and genuine demands. The EJAC is part and parcel of the Clerical Staff Association and appeal to the State Government to solve the long pending agreed demands of the Clerical Staff Association which is agreed in principle to avoid inconvenience to the general public arises due to protest demonstrations and strikes. EJAC will support if a strike call would be given by Clerical Staff Association.
