| Verma directs NBCC, ERA to speed up sewerage construction works | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 7: District Development Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma has stressed upon the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) and Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) to speed up the ongoing construction works of Sewerage line, while inspecting the sewerage works in old Jammu city and Sewerage Treatment Plant in Bhagwati Nagar here today.
The DDC made on spot visit in different sites of the project to take necessary steps for its early completion. Besides he also interacted with people to listen their problems due to delay in restoration work. He asked the agencies that wherever the work gets completed, the restoration work should be completed as soon as possible as the people
of the area are facing lot of problems for want of restoration. He further emphasized upon them to have a close coordination with all the line departments so that common masses could not face any inconvenience. He also asked them to intimate the working schedule of execution works to all the line departments before the execution and
implement all the previous decisions in letter and sprit. While inspecting the 4th Bridge on River Tawi, he found no engineers were present on the construction site. He directed the concerned Chief engineer to take stern action against the negligent engineer.
