| SDM distributes cheques amongst beneficiaries | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Ghordi (Udhampur), Jan 07- During surprise visits at different spots of Dudu Basantgarh, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mr Amit Sharma inspected various Government offices and institutions such as schools, health centres, angadwadi centres and make a thorough review of agriculture and horticulture sectors in Chowki Jandrore, Nallah Mallian, Prey, Kannah, Dalsar, Surni, Badole and Birnu areas of the Sub Division.
A programme was organized at Ghordi in which, SDM distributed cheques amongst the beneficiaries falling under the Incentive Scheme of Horticulture Mission for North East and Himalayan States (HMNH) as first year incentive for plantation of fruits of different varieties such as citrus, mango and amla during rainy season in the presence of HDO Ghordi Shri Bharat Bhushan Pangotra and other staff members.
The fruit growers and farmers were also encouraged by SDM Shri Amit Sharma to grow more and more cash rich and fruit plants so that this belt of Sub Division becomes famous for its fruit oriented plantations and more and more marketing opportunities are created due to it. The concerned officers were directed by SDM to provide more Water Harvesting Tanks and Vermicom post Units under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKKY) to the legitimate and needy farmers.
