| JKWWS organizes Mother Teresa’s birth centenary celebrations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 8: Jay Kay Women Welfare Society Jammu organized a birth centenary celebration of Mother Teresa here today at K L Saigal Hall, Abhinav theatre.
On the occasion, former Minister G M Saroori was the chief guest while Vinod Bushan Sharma General Secretary Congress presided over the function. Sohail Qazmi Editor –in –Chief Daily Taskeen and Hafiza Muzafar, member secretary Women Commission were the Guest of honors.
GM Saroori in his address said Mother Teresa all through her life worked tirelessly for the poor indigent, sick, orphaned. Vinod Bhushan, General Secretary, Congress also highlighted the
selfless services of Mother Teresa. He also stressed that today the souls like Teresa is needed so that the sufferers of diseases, oppressed, suppressed may be cured properly.
Sohail Qazmi, Editor in Chief Daily Taskeen, Gulam-Mohi-ud-Din Secretary Congress, Haji Abdul Rashid Ex. Minister, Mushtaq Ahmed a cultural activist from Mushaira, Shamima Akhter Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages, also spoke on the occasion
and highlighted the services with the missionary zeal rendered by Mother Teresa to the oppressed especially leprosy and tuberculosis patients, children and family counseling programmes.
A light and folk musical programme by Bishan Das and party, Mohan Lal and Party and a research paper presented by Ravinder Sharma were the attraction of the programme
