| Mini Secretariat at Akhnoor soon:Madan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
AKHNOOR, JAN 08- Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma today said the Government would construct a mini secretariat at Akhnoor to accommodate all the offices at one place and its foundation would be laid down shortly. He also announced Rs. 20 lakh for the establishment of a library at Akhnoor which was a long pending demand of people of the area.
The Member Parliament said Government is giving special focus on the creation of tourism facilities on the town to attract maximum number of tourists to this historic town and various steps have been taken to restore pristine glory of Akhnoor town on modern lines.
Sharma said Government has prepared a proposal to cover maximum number of BPL families under Indira Awas Yojana to provide them residential accommodation.
The MP said that State Government has launched various schemes for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society and people should come forward to avail the benefits.
He apprised the people that Higher Secondary School, Nardi-Bala will be developed as Model School with special facilities to upgrade the education standard of student of this backward village. He stressed for maintaining close coordination between people and officers for ensuring better results.
