Excel in all fields but don’t leave passion for Kashmir: AIKS

JAMMU Jan 8 : All India Kashmiri Samaj Youth Affairs, Secretary Ashish Zutshi, today interacted with the displaced Kashmiri Pandit students at Jammu. Addressing the students, he said that AIKS was aware about he problems of the displaced students and assured them that their problems would be highlighted in the coming days.
Appreciating the student’s view point that they want to be connected with Kashmiri, he urged them to get united for the common cause of the community. Despite being at the verge of extinction, Kashmiri Pandits have not left their traditions, religious philosophies and cultural richness and it is this element which has kept them connected and time demands that Kashmiri Pandit Youth should continue this passion which links them with Kashmir. Besides excelling in various fields Kashmire Pandits, youth should have the passion for their Kashmir which belongs to them, he added.

In his address Aryan Ramesh, organizing secretary AIKS, cautioned the students against those forces who have been exploiting the sentiments of the youth for keeping their political shops open. Appreciating the recent statements of Union Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah for his apology to the Kashmiri Pandits in a book launch ceremony at New Delhi, Ramesh said that if he is sincere to his own statement he should come down heavily on the state government’s approach towards the displaced youth. He should have earlier also criticized the draconian laws affixed with the recent employments package under the Prime Minister’s Relief and Rehabilitation plan.
Earlier the students informed about various centrally sponsored schemes meant for the youth but apprised that Kashmiri Pandits students have not been covered under such schemes so for.
Meanwhile, Deepak Bhat was unanimously elected as Coordinator for AKIS Youth Affairs. Among others, JL Pandit also addressed the students meeting.
