JAMMU: At least 24 persons, including women and children, were today wounded, some of them critically, when the minibus in which they were travelling overturned at Jodi in Hiranagar, Kathua.
Overspeeding was stated to be the reason behind the incident, police sources said.
The injured were admitted to the sub-district hospital, Hiranagar.
While some were discharged after first-aid, Krishna Devi (70), wife of Mani Ram of Nadala, and Asha Rani (41), wife of Ram Lal of Sadwal, were referred to the GMC hospital following deterioration in their condition.
Police had registered a case in this connection. |
