Leaders, intellectuals, hail agenda-2011 for re-organisation of J&K | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu Jan 9: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has vowed for re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir state to end six decades long regional discrimination.
Addressing media persons here today, JKNPP chairman Bhim Singh solicited the opinion of the civil society, intellectuals and the political leaders in a seminar on the new agenda for Jammu and Kashmir in 2011 seeking re-organization of Jammu and Kashmir in order to end six decades old tension and regional conflict.
“The consensus that emerged at the end of the seven hours meeting with the participation of different and important of schools of thought was unique and highly appreciable to address all the present issues relating to Azadi, Autonomy, Self-Rule, Article 370 and Statehood for all the times”, he said, adding, “There was a total consensus that domination of one region over the other must end and solution would like in have been separation of powers; legislative, political and financial”.
Meanwhile, JKNPP launched signature campaign in support of their 2011 agenda; Re-organisation of J&K on the basis of cultural, linguistic, and geographical identity of each region, Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
The signature campaign was inaugurated by party’s chairman and founder along with working chairman, Harsh Dev Singh, MLA, state president Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA, general secretary, Yashpual Kundal, MLA, young panthers state president Mohd. Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC, provincial president Faqir Nath, ex-MLA, general secretary Anita Thakur, political advisor to JKNPP, Bansi Lal Sharma and others
