Increase wages of labourers: SOIL | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kathua Jan 9, The Saviour of Innocent Labour (SOIL), an NGO, today conducted a door-to-door survey of both organized and unorganized labour at various labour colonies of Kathua, including Govindsar, and Hatli Morh of Kathua. The members urged the government to increase the wages of the industrial labour as well as non industrial labour as per the increasing inflation in the country. The survey team led by President Rajeev Gandotra, general secretary Arun Trisal and vice president of the SOIL Ram Lal criticized the industrial managements for are not paying the wages to their workers who are doing duties day and night as per the government rate. The survey revealed that all the families of labourers were affected by esclation in prices of all the essential items due to which a common person has lost faith in rulers of the country like Prime Minister, CMs . The SOIL members alleged that the state as well as centre has failed to mitigate the problems of these poor workers. In this chilly weather, it was commonly found that the children of these labourer families are widely lacking the facilities of good education, health facilities, good living system and even the proper and nutritious food one time a day due to the less and imbalanced wages given by their bosses while inflation has taken place a sky rocketing hike. The members said that if the government would not come out with any concrete and constructive policy to uplift the living standard these poor people, there is no doubt the growing resentment among the each and every person against the undemocratic and anti-labour attitude of government would surely pose a threat to the existence of these politicians and others.
