1/9/2011 10:49:02 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 9: The Jammu Kashmir Physiotherapists Association (JKPA) today said that so many days have passed since they have been sitting on a protest dharna for their genuine demands but still the State Government is reluctant to come out with a policy to adjust them in the health department.
This was stated by JKPA members while addressing a press conference in front of Old Divisional Commissioner’s office Mubarak Mandi. Physiotherapists said that they have been sitting day and night for the past 48 days but unfortunately Government has not approached them for any solution, said Dr Vimal Singh Manhas.
Dr Amira added that our young Chief Minister should personally intervene in the matter as it is directly related to the future of thousands of highly educated unemployed youth of the state and moreover their talent is being wasted which could have been otherwise
utilized to serve lakhs of disabled, diseased as well as old and senior population of the state.
Dr Pardeep told media persons that the Government is meant to serve the people of the state. The Government should work out for a quick solution so that the professionals don’t turn into protestors. Dr Vimal said that more than 100 members of JKPA have fallen ill in the harsh weather. Government should come forward to consider our
charter of demands in the forthcoming cabinet meeting.
