JWAM hold protest against price rise

JAMMU, Jan 9: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a protest demonstration and blocked Janipura- Ambphalla road against CAPD for non availability of essential commodities.
The protesters were demanding raids on the hoarders and black marketers. They also protested against the failure of the Central and State Coalition Government to control the rising prices.
JWAM president Sunil Dimple demanded chief minister Omar Abdullah to take effective steps to exempt sale tax on the sale of LPG Gas, petrol and diesel to relieve the common man in the State. He alleged that the CAPD Directorate of Jammu region was not
performing its duty properly and there was no control on the prices of essential commodities, vegetables, fruit, milk, paneer, edible seeds, dalls, edible oils, desi ghee. And the traders of Jammu have crossed all the limits and there is no check on the rising prices in the state. He said JWAM will continue agitation till the state Government
controls the rising prices.
