GBYDF organises seminar on challenges before tribal youth | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 9: To discuss the burning issues of youth, Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Development Front today organised a seminar on " Challenges Before Tribal Youth" in Gujjar Conference Hall' Rajouri today. Earlier, state president Haq Nawaj Choudhary was accorded warm welcome by the activists of the Front. He was taken to the venue of seminar in cavalcade. Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary said that Gujjar and Bakerwal were the one of the largest communities of the state only after Dogras and Kashmiris. Even then the community is deprived of its due share in every sphere of life. Majority of the families of the community are nomadic and dependent on weather to large extent. Any change in weather has its toll on these hapless nomadic peoples. The organisation has decided to launch an awareness campaign for the rights of tribals. Meanwhile, Choudhary demanded education facilities to the natives of far flung areas, employment to youth, timely disbursement of scholarship to tribal students, PG hostels in Jammu and Srinagar and seperate tribal university. Those who addressed the seminar included Farid Choudhary,Mohammad farooq, Abrar Choudhary, Aftaab Choudhary, and Maqbool Hussain besides others. Mohammad Akram presented welcome address while Mohammad Farooq presented vote of thanks.
