Manohar Lal holds public darbar at PS Kakda | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, JAN 10- With a view to listen to the problems of people of kandi areas at their doorsteps and to mitigate them on the spot, Minister for Cooperatives, Printing and Stationary and Elections (Independent Charge) and Minister of state for finance, Planning, Industries and commerce, Higher Education, Science and technology and Information Technology, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma convened an open darbar at Primary School, Kakda in tehsil Hirnagar of Kathua district. Meanwhile, various deputations met the minister and put forth their demands . A deputation from village Kakda demanded installation of tube well/ hand pumps at SC mohalla. They also demanded construction of boundary wall of PS Kakda, construction of crates to save the land from erosion, construction of road from Ghar to Dinga Amb and renovation of patwar khana. They also public complained that no NREGA work has been executed in the area and also complained about irregular water supply. Later, a deputation from village Maltha said that the transformer installed in the village was out of order. They demanded that rate lists should be displayed in the ration depots at conspicuous places. They also demanded construction of boundary wall of Primary School, Maltha. The Minister said that 25 crates have been given to village Kakda to save the land from erosion. He also announced Rs 50,000 for the construction of boundary wall of GPS Kakda from his MLA Constituency Development Fund. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the coalition government headed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah is committed to provide basic facilities to its people.
