JAMMU, Jan 10: In the ongoing 75th Senior National Badminton Tournament, state No. 2 shuttler, Vipul Saini today lost to India No. 16, Sourav Kapoor of Airport Authority of India in the second round of the competition being held at Rohtak in Haryana.
According to the reports reaching here, Vipul lost the opening set 19-21 and won the following 21-19 to level set score. However, higher ranked, Sourav clinched the third to make it 2-1. The score: 19-21, 21-19, 17-21.
Earlier, in the first round tie, Vipul defeated Ishan Bhasin of Himachal Pradesh in straight sets of 21-14, 21-11.
