JKPA waits for cabinet meet’s outcome | Physiotherapists warns to intensify agitation if demands not fulfilled | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 10: The physiotherapists have been protesting since 49 days but still the government is not bothered about the demands of the physiotherapists. It is pertinent to mention here that providing 103 posts to about 3000 unemployed physiotherapists all across the state is not fulfilling their demands wholly. The association has given five demands in their memorandum including the formation of State physiotherapist council but the state government has provided them the posts. According to official sources, the government has about some days before passed orders to Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) to publish few posts only to divert the attention of protesting unemployed physiotherapists. They further added that the government has not any clear cut policy for them as there is no sanctioned post in any hospitals of the State. But now they are advertising 103 posts keeping rest of the demands unfulfilled which clears that the policy of state government to deal with unemployed youth of the state is just a formality. President JKPA Dr. Vimal Manhas said that they are waiting for the decision of the cabinet that will be directed by it today. He also said that the state government has declared 103 posts but the formation of the State Physiotherapist Council is still suspense. He further said that they are seeking the cabinet’s decision and if the decision would not fulfill all their demands they will again start a queue of protests against the state government.
