J&K to abolish license system in education sector: Malik | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 10: At a magnificent and impressive function organized at Adarsh College of Education, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr. Farooq Abdullah emphasized on quality education in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Annual magazine of Adarsh College ‘Herald’ was released on the occasion. Chief Guest Dr. Farooq Abdullah distributed awards among meritorious students and staff of the college. Chairman of Adarsh Group A. K. Kapoor, Ritesh Kapoor and Rahul Kapoor welcomed the guests. Students presented colourful cultural programme. Dr. Abdullah in his speech complimented Adarsh Group for playing substantial role in developing reliable infrastructure for imparting quality education in different academic streams. He said that establishment of two central universities in the state is a big compliment to the state and acknowledgement of the fact that central government is also serious in improving and boosting education scenario in the state. Minister for Higher Education Abdul Gani Malik, while speaking on the occasion said that government will take all possible measures to encourage private educational institutions for expanding their orbit and play vital role in the field of education. He said that license system which was creating impediments in expansion of education system will be done away with soon. On the occasion, awards of honour were presented to Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda, Director Information Farooq Renzu Shah, Secretary Board Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, DDC Samba Mubarak Gul and SSP Samba Israr Khan.
