Paramedic’s deputation calls on Chib | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 10: Reiterating government’s commitment to improve healthcare scenario, the Minister for Medical Education R. S. Chib today said that paramedics and nursing staff form backbone of the healthcare system in the state and government is working for mitigating their grievances. Chib was speaking at a meeting convened to discuss various issues concerning the employees of medical and health institutions here today. Chib while speaking to a delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Association, acknowledged their vital role in the healthcare system, and assured to take appropriate measures to enhance their capabilities and meet their genuine demands. Delegation, earlier, put-forth various demands for active consideration of the Minister including upgradation of pay scale, creation of additional posts and enhancement of uniform and risk allowances to the nursing staff. The Minister after patient hearing assured of full cooperation and said that the demands of the nursing fraternity will be looked into. He directed Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education R. K. Jerath and Principal Medical College, Jammu to immediately put up a proposal regarding the issues so that appropriate action is initiated. Later, a delegation of contractual, adhoc and consolidated medical employees association also met the Minister demanding early regularization in the health and medical education department.
