| Daily wagers hold protest, seek regularization | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 10: Daily wagers of various government departments today held a protest demonstration in the office of Executive Engineer of sub- transmission division-II here.
Protest demonstration was organized by the J&K PDD/PDC Daily Wagers Union of Jammu Province under the chairmanship of provincial president of the Union Surjeet Khajuria. Demonstration was held to highlight various burning issues especially regularization of the Daily Wagers in all departments who have been engaged after 1994 and who have completed seven years of service in the departments
Speakers highlighted problems faced by the daily rated workers and appealed to the government for immediate redressal of their grievances which were pending since long. Protestors vowed to continue their struggle till their genuine demands are fulfilled and resolved that similar demonstrations shall continue across J&K. They informed that future course of action will be announced shortly.
Gurnam Slathia, Swarn Kumar, Sunil Khajuria, Surjeet Sharma, S. Deedar Singh, Rajan Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Pitamber Nath, Nishchal Nagpal, Vijay Kumar, Pitamber Singh, Raj Kumar, Jasbir Singh, Ravi Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar , Karan Singh, Girdhari Lal and others were participated in the protest.
