| FCI unions stage protest, allege discrimination | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 10: Joint Front of FCI Trade Unions staged a day long Dharna outside Regional Office of Food Corporation of India at Rail Head Complex here as part of their second phase of its agitation.
FCI trade union members have been demanding restoration of rotational transfer policy, removal of discrimination and choice of posting in Srinagar. They criticized deployment of junior officers and delay in ordering inquiry into the issue of granting incentives to non-deserving employees and officers in past and hiring of vehicles against rules.
Speakers also sought inquiry into the major decisions taken by General Manager regarding grant of approval under FCI Guarantee scheme of Godown to favourites. Among others who were spoke on the occasion included Surinder Singh State Secretary FCI Staff Union, Sukhdev Singh State Secretary FCI Executive Staff Union, Bodh Raj Additional State Secretary FCI Staff Staff Union, Brahm Datt Sharma District Secretary FCJ Executive Staff Union and Nasib Singh District President FCI Staff Union.
