Seminar on challenges before tribal youth held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Jan 10: To discuss the burning issues of youth of Gujjar Bakerwal Youth Development Front organised a seminar on " Challenges Before Tribal Youth" on Sunday in Gujjar Conference Hall' Rajouri. Earlier, state president Haq Nawaj Choudhary accorded warm welcome by the activists of the Front.He was taken to the venue of seminar in cavalcade.
Speaking on the occasion, Haq Nawaj Choudhary said that Gujjar and Bakerwal were the one of the largest communities of the state only after Dogras and Kasmiris. Even then the community is deprived of its due share in every sphere of life. Majority of the families of the community are nomadic and dependenet on weather to large extent. Any change in weather has its toll on these hapless nomadic peoples. The organisation has decided to launch an awareness campaign for the rights of tribals. Choudhary demanded education facilities to the natives of far flung areas, employment facilities to youth, timely disbursement of scholarship to tribal students, PG hostels in Jammu and Srinagar and seperate tribal university.
Those who addressed the seminar included Farid Choudhary,Mohammad farooq, Abrar Choudhary, Aftaab Choudhary, and Maqbool Hussain besides others.
