| J&K boys, girls find berth in NZ Taekwondo team | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 11: A good number of boys and girls have got selected in the North Zone team for the forthcoming 2nd National Inter-Zone Taekwondo Poomsae/Kyorugi Championships to be held at Koramangala Indoor Stadium in Bangalore from tomorrow.
In this two-day competition, the teams were picked up on the basis of performance at the zonal level events.
“Since, the North Zone championship held in Jammu in the first week of December last and J&K won a number of medals to claim overall championship trophy in Poomsae, a good number of boys and girls have got the opportunity to represent the zone in the national championship,” secretary of the Association, D N Pangotra told SAN.
During the national championship, the Taekwondo Federation of India will select players for the 5th Commonwealth Taekwondo Championship to be held at Chennai from January 28 to January 31.
