| RR organises medical camp | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: Taking another step towards healthcare, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion organised a Medical Camp at Parore Gujran with active cooperation from government Hospital.
Camp witnessed attendance of large number of civilians from adjoining areas of Parore Gujran. Doctors from military as well as civil health department checked patients and provided free medicines and vaccinations for the needy. Parore Gujran is a remote area of Rajouri district and the road heads for large number of far-flung villages where locals find it difficult to commute and approach the medical establishments, the closest being at Rajouri.
Furthermore, there are number of under-privileged villagers who cannot afford to go to Rajouri for medical check-up and at the same time these remote areas are seldom visited by Doctors which is a major concern for the villagers and the older people who can barely walk. A total of 520 personnel were attended to in the camp including 160 women and 153 children.
