| Sham pays floral tributes to Shastri | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 11: Minister for Health Sham Lal Sharma today paid floral tributes to former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 45th death anniversary, at an impressive function organized by Jai Jawan Jai Kissan Development Committee at Vikas Nagar here today.
Throwing light on the life of Shastri, Minister said that true tribute to this legendary political personality would be to follow his footsteps in the real life and engage in serving the society with honesty, dedication and commitment. He recalled his rich contribution, in the independence struggle and development of India following independence.
Minister appealed people to fight unitedly against the social evils and corruption which are eating vitals of the society. He also cautioned the people against the vested interests and asked them to fight the divisive forces with full might. Sham distributed blankets among the poor and widows on this occasion. He lauded role of the Jai Jawan- Jai Kissan Committee for its philanthropic activities.
