| Five day long workshop on folk media organised at PG college of Education | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Jan 11: A five days long training workshop on Science Communication through folk media was organized by P.G Collage of Education Canal Road here today
Director School Education, Jammu Gulzar Ahmad Qurashi was the chief guest and inaugurated the function by lightening the traditional lamp.
The Workshop is being organized by Students Welfare Society Anantnag Jammu and Kashmir and catalyzed and supported by NCSTC Government of India.
The basic aim and objective of the training workshop to encourage the students, teachers, and other science communicators to explore and experiment with the dramatic form as a means of communication.
Theatre and Drama is an old age cultural form of communication in our Society, which has been used all through not only for entertainment or recreation but also as a medium of social interaction.
A group of students from S.P Tarapuri Gandhi Nagar headed by Sat Pal presented a Skit on Environment Pollution on the occasion.
The power point Presentation of Vishal Ramachandra Mahale theatre Director Drama institute New Delhi on street plays was liked by all the participants. Shabir Ahmad Shabir Secretary Students Welfare Society Anantnag presented the vote of thanks.
The program will continue upto January 13, 2011 where in scripts for the plays will be developed by the groups for on words demonstration under the proper supervision of experts.
