| Lok-Adalat takes up 122 cases, settles 106 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan: 11 :- A Lok-Adalat was held in the District Court Complex Udhampur under the chairmanship of Principal District & Sessions AK Sharma. Three Benches were constituted to settle the cases referred the Lok-Adalat by different courts of Udhampur.
First Bench comprising AK Sharma Principal District & Sessions Judge Udhampur and Nighat Sultana Additional Sessions Judge Udhampur dealt with matrimonial and MACT cases.
The second bench comprising MK Sharma CJM Udhampur and Rajesh Gupta Advocate was constituted to deal with criminal matters. Third Bench comprising Anoop Sharma, Munsiff Udhampur and Bharat Bhushan Sharma Advocate to deal with traffic Challans.
Out of total 122 cases taken by the three benches 106 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 4 lacs was given as compensation in MACT Cases and RS 26, 720 were recovered as composition fees. JNF
